Forming is owned and run by Sarah Bogle. I have a wide range of programme and change management experience from the UK and moved to Queenstown in 2009.
My Innovation work is focused towards groups of people with a common interest and a range of skills (e.g. a company board, a regional leadership team, a cross functional project team or a community group etc.). I use a varied set of tools to facilitate these groups’ development of solutions to their current challenges.
I became interested in innovation and how to encourage teams to deliver it sustainably when I found that my Change Management programmes were resulting in employees actively wanting to improve on the status quo. In a medium or large enterprise, this can be quite chaotic and have the added risk of backfiring on the Change Programme if people feel their ideas are being ignored.
My Change Management work enables organisations to positively respond to alterations in their environment (whether self-driven or inflicted). Your changes may involve down-sizing, up-sizing, mass re-organisation or simply a shift in focus (e.g. customer retention rather than new sales). Whether you are the CEO leading the charge or an admin clerk trying to understand what your bosses actually want now, you will find the process of organisational change emotionally and physically draining
Psychologists liken the process we go through during significant changes to that of grieving or shock. I do not provide therapy, but I do draw on a range of tools and techniques from a variety of fields to help leaders and teams take ownership of change and recognise how empowering continuous improvement can be.
